Hazleton Urgent Care Center is now a Telemedicine Facility
In light of Coronavirus concerns regarding leaving the home and limiting access to large crowds, especially among elderly individuals, Hazleton Urgent Care Center is now accepting telemedicine patients.
Telemedicine allows for doctors to evaluate and diagnose patients through a virtual setting and exchange information electronically using telecommunication technology on a computer or phone that has video capabilities.
Dr. Paul J. Tayoun, an emergency physician with many years experience, said Hazleton Urgent Care is offering this service to help Greater Hazleton residents feel more at ease during the coronavirus epidemic. “During this time of uncertainty, keeping everyone safe and healthy is the primary concern. By using telemedicine, we can continue to treat patients while limiting their contact with someone who may be sick. My staff and I remain committed to offering the most high-quality and reliable medical care while allowing patients to remain in the comfort and safety of their own homes.”
Hazleton Urgent Care's telemedicine video services can be accessed via PC and Mac computers and Android and iOS phones using Chrome, Firefox and Safari web browsers.
Due to restrictions dictated by our medical malpractice insurance, Hazleton Urgent Care Telemedicine is only available for established patients of Dr. Tayoun. Our offices are open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m Monday though Friday for walk-in patients.
